As a frequent traveler, I often find myself in need of a convenient transit option during my journeys. Sandershaus was the perfect choice for this purpose, providing a comfortable and hassle-free stay. the proximity of the hotel to the nearest airport, just 16 km away, was incredibly convenient for me. It allowed me to quickly and easily reach my accommodation after a long day of traveling, saving me both time and energy.
While my overall experience at Sandershaus was positive, there was one minor downside that I feel compelled to mention. Unfortunately, during my stay, I couldn't help but notice the presence of a permanent roadworks facility located directly opposite the building.

The guestrooms at Sandershaus Hostel are cozy and comfortable, with a homely vibe that made me feel right at home. The free WiFi was a definite plus, allowing me to stay connected and share my travel adventures with friends and family.
The shared bathrooms were not my favorite, but I can see how some guests might find it a unique experience.

Our recent stay at Sanderhaus was truly enjoyable. The spacious and clean dorm room provided privacy despite being a shared space. The beds and lockers were thoughtfully arranged. The communal area had a welcoming atmosphere, although we didn't have time to fully enjoy it. The location, especially during Documenta15, was excellent. We highly recommend Sanderhaus Hosel for a great stay!
We did experience some drawbacks during our stay. The noise from the roadworks facility opposite the building was quite disruptive, especially in the early morning.

We had a fantastic stay at a spacious and very clean dorm in Sandershaus. the beds and lockers were arranged nicely, providing privacy despite being a dorm. the community area looked welcoming, although we didn't have time to use it. the energy of the place was relaxed and charming, with something always happening. the cafe/bar and hostel management blended well together, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. the extension of one of the dokumenta sites and concerts was the cherry on top. The people we met here were diverse in terms of race, age, insights, and stories. Cons: Nothing not too like. 😊.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The hostel itself is clean and well-maintained, with spacious rooms and high ceilings that kept the room cool even in hot weather. The location is perfect, with some of the main attractions right next door. The back garden, which also serves as a Biergarten, is a great place to relax and enjoy cultural events. The hostel is also a venue for Documenta, and I had the opportunity to attend a curated film screening in the basement. The on-site cafe/bar served delicious and vegan-friendly food all day. If you're an art lover, this is definitely the place for you!
All was perfect.
